Year 1 at Fort Purbrook

The children have made a good start to their new adventures tonight! After a tour of the building and grounds, they got their rooms ready with much excitement! This evening’s activity was a quiz and all children contributed to this before bedtime stories. Now the children are all snuggled in their beds and the teachers have everything crossed that they will fall asleep soon!

The children were awake bright and early this morning and had a hearty breakfast! The rain hasn’t dampened their spirits even though we haven’t managed to get outside as planned. They have begun visiting the tunnels and completed some sketches as well as preparing their own lunch! We are still hoping to get out this afternoon....

And the next lot of happy campers arrive...
A fun start to our first residential tonight with round 1 of the quiz accompanied by hot chocolate and biscuits. A few games and then a bedtime story. All children are tucked up in bed now...
and the teachers are hoping that they will fall asleep quickly!

The children slept really well last night and enjoyed a hearty breakfast before having to strip beds and pack up bags.
We have been lucky with the weather this morning so we’re able to get outside to sketch. Other activities included tunnel tours and making their own lunch.

The children have eaten very well and played team games this afternoon.
